TIN CAN SAILORS
BOOK REVIEWS

There are many books published about the Navy and its ships. We focus here on those books that are related to destroyers that our volunteer reviewers found to be worthy of member attention. Please click on book title to read the review. The rating system that we use is as follows:

                Highly recommended. An excellent book.
                     Recommended. A solid effort.
Some readers would enjoy it but many would not.

To save space and time we list here reviews of only those books that the reviewers felt were appropriate for our readers. We strive to present reviews of books that will have a wide interest to the general membership on destroyer-related topics and stories. Often we receive a book with a request that we review it when the book is not really appropriate to Tin Can Sailors members and while it may be a well-written book, fails to meet our requirements or may be limited in appeal to those aboard a single ship during a specific time period. Consequently, we do not list such books and their reviews here.
