A solid effort. Details abound in this book. Both American and Japanese forces are covered with dates, times, and individuals. Claims of both sides are tempered with the truth of time versus "The Fog of War". I learned a lot from this book and I thought I knew a lot about the Battle of Guadalcanal. If you enjoy history and details, this one is for you.
