The USS Coghlan Association maintains a newsletter, a website, and active reunion activities for the sailors and families of this destroyer.
Ralph Reed is the editor of the ship's paper, Little Joe. The Little Joe newspaper was
the ships publication on board during the war and now is our monthly
newsletter. Pat Tanquary started searching for crewmembers back in 1984 and organized the first reunion back in 1986. Pat organized the Coghlan Association as it is today. After Pat passed on, his wife Marie took over as secretary/treasurer of our group and Ralph Reed as the main contact for the group. The reunions are hosted by volunteers on a yearly basis and are located all over the country.
