Peter Decristofaro

Joined  the Parsons in San Diego straight out of storekeepers school.. in SD. Went to Yoko with the the rest of  that squadron in  sept 70  ( I think it was)  and left the Parsons around Dec.73 to join the Dixon (AS-37) back in San Diego ,I got out of the navy in Dec 74   went back up to Walnut Creek (in the eastbay of SF) where I worked as a therater film projectionest on and off for 5 or 6 years... also  then worked at several SF TV stations as a film editor and studio camera person....... then   went to work for Xerox Corp as a copier repair guy..............  then worked in the coin opp games buisness as a service tech  which I still am doing  and recovering pool tables on the side  ( jack of all trades, master of none)!    Was married for a while  now single  but my room mate is my X   yea  I know   whats that all about !!! LOL

On the Parsons  I was one of the guys that issued parts and ordered parts...god and all that with out a computer data base!!  I remember we had this huge card file with all the part numbers and store room bin numbers!

WOW and many unreps in the middle of the night     ...........My GQ station was on the short range surface search radar up in CIC  and on those sound powered phones behind the Plexiglas plotting contacts.....

You tend to forget the BS we had to put up with after all these years  but for my money  seeing all the places we went and the excitment of being on the Parsons in those years...I would do it again in a heart beat!

That's me on the left with ET Layton. He was from Texas.
