Frank Loveday

ICC Loveday was stationed on the Parsons in 1975, he transferred on July 4, 1976 as the Parsons was preparing to get underway on emergency recall to chase Russian Ships.  We were having a few beers and XO Lerich had to come down personally to the Pier 6 Pub in Yokosuka to get us onboard to get us underway.  I believe he was transferring to Great Lakes.  He was later stationed at Mobile Technical Unit Seven Yokosuka as an ICC, transferred around 1989 and retired from Mobile Technical Unit Fifteen, Everett, WA around 1992.  Frank passed away from cancer in 1998.  A great Sailor, Shipmate and Friend.
