This lighter was found in the Radio Room of the USS Joseph P. Kennedy, Jr. (DD-850) in the 1980's. Bill McMillian spoke with Vice Admiral G.E. Miller, USN (Ret.), who told him that he gave many of these lighters away when he was commander of the 2nd Fleet.
