DD-610 Port Broadside--"Early" photo of the Hobby, probably between the time of her launching and her commissioning, 1942. This is off the west coast, probably during her shakedown trials, after she was outfitted.

DESDIV 38 Norfolk 1/1/44. The 4 DD's comprising Destroyer Division 38 in Norfolk Harbor, New Year's Day 1944. Right to left: USS Kalk (DD-611), USS Hobby (DD-610), USS Gillespie (DD-609) and USS Welles (DD-628). The Welles was the only one of the 4 which had the "square" bridge.
