Gleaves Class with Square
Bridge
USS Carmick (DD-493) Gleaves class destroyers that were completed with the
square-faced bridge as they appeared between 1942 and 1945. Their armament
consists of four single 5-in. gun mounts, two twin 40-mm gun mounts, two single
20-mm gun mounts, and two quintuple 21-in. torpedo tube mounts.
