DDG-51 Class ARLEIGH BURKE, Flight IIA
We now have full color prints
for the USS ARLEIGH BURKE (DDG-51) class guided missile destroyers in the
Flight IIA configuration as they are currently in service. Flight IIA
(DDG-79–107) are all similar but 44 feet longer than Flight I/II to accommodate
2, SH-60B/R LAMPS III helicopters. Ships numbering DDG-51–80 carry one 5-in./54
Cal. MK 45 gun mount. Ships numbering DDG-81 and above carry one 5-in./62 cal.
MK 45, Mod 4 gun mount. DDG-80 was fitted with the new gun shield for the MK 45,
Mod 4 gun mount on the MK 45 gun mount platform.
