We received these photos from John A. Denson. He received them from a photographer – we do not have his name – whose memory no longer allows him to provide much in the way of details.
One of the officers in the top photo may be Admiral “Bull” Halsey.
We believe these photos were taken at Kerama Retto as that is where many of the ships damaged by kamikazes off Okinawa were taken. The ship with the badly damaged bow (the second through the fifth photos) is probably the destroyer-minelayer USS Lindsey (DM-32).
The sixth photo may be the USS Rodman (DMS-21).
