Highlights
We had a full schedule of events at our Cleveland,OH reunion, which included the Pro football Hall of Fame, visited and had a buffet lunch at MAPS Air Museum, which is an internationally known museum of aviation and serves as a center of aviation history for Northeast Ohio. The museum features exciting educational displays of its collection of acquired artifacts, interactive exhibits and historical archives in its own library. A luncheon boat ride on Lake Erie, we visited a WWII submarine USS Cod and a Cleveland Indian ball game. We had a special guest at our formal dinner Joseph Tomasulo of Troy, OH, a former US Air Force pilot of F4C Phantom in Vietnam. Joe was promoted to Captain in the year of 1968 shortly after the Tet offensive. He was decorated with the distinguished flying cross and 2 separate Bronx stars for shooting down a Mig 21 and chasing another into the DMZ. He flew 208 missions as a fighter pilot while in Vietnam in support of the ground troops. Now on to our next port of call, Athens, TN in 2020.
