We had a great reunion in Northern Kentucky, one of our best! Opened with registration in our spacious hospitality room and served Cincinnati Chili. . Also had breakfast each day as part of the registration in the hospitality room!
Did two optional events! June 20, 55 went to the Kentucky Horse Park and on June 24th 52 people witnessed the Reds/Twins Major League Baseball Game. In pre-game our men Norman Terrell, Chet Cernac, Louis Jagucki (plank owner) and Chas Staples led by Dennis Cantwell were the Color Guard for the National Anthem sung by Marie Mazziotti, our entertainer from New York. Did a luncheon cruise down the Ohio River on a Paddlewheel Boat with a hired banjo player! First banquet was as the Newport Hofbraushaus, an authentic German Beer Garden. Second Banquet was at the Hotel with Marie entertaining, speaker and an auction. Third Banquet was at Wright Patterson Air Force, National Aeronautics Museum with the curator, Terry Aitken, speaking, active Air Force Color Guard and entertainment by the Air Force Band, Systems Go. Outstanding night! Unbelievable historic aircraft! On Saturday afternoon attended the Cincinnati Museum (WWII) the Museum of Natural History and the Creation Museum . Our Memorial Service was outstanding at the Newport Peace Bell where we had the Newport Police Honor Guard and Chaplain led service. The reunion ended with a Chaplain led church service and breakfast. Next Reunion San Diego in 2014!
